What programs can we create to help (nurture) artists in Mineral Point to grow and thrive? And how do we enhance our existing environment, that will encourage new artists to settle in Mineral Point for generations to come?
Our solution, an arts incubator. This ultimate goal is broad but important to our mission: Establish a location where artists can meet, create, collaborate, exhibit. This Arts Incubator not only fill our mission to nurture artists. It provides an additional incentive for artists considering Mineral Point for their home. In early 2014, Arts Mineral Point formed a committee to identify and quantify specific artist needs. Needs were matched with available resources to establish a realistic budget. The many commercial spaces available in town were then reviewed with our needs and budget in mind. We found the perfect space: an old Cannery Building. The first floor is used by the owner for light manufacturing businesses. The second floor was vacant and is ideal studio space for a variety of artistic endeavors. The space has large areas for group activities and private spaces well suited for creative entrepreneurs to start or grow their business. Open spaces are available in 64 square foot increments. We have both small and large private areas available.
There are three sizes of studio space available at the Cannery Arts Incubator.
Pricing shown is for one month. Making a purchase here gives you a space reservation, and rental for one month. Arts Mineral Point will prepare a space rental agreement. These agreements cover rental in six-month increments.
8' x 8' common area studio space. Includes all utilities, internet access, use of kitchenette.
Small private office, with locking door. Includes all utilities, internet access, use of kitchenette.
Large private office, with locking door. Includes all utilities, internet access, use of kitchenette.
