Steve was first introduced to watercolor painting while in college at The University of Illinois, by an instructor that demonstrated confidence in handling the medium while sharing a sunny outlook on life. Inspired by the experience, Steve’s been painting landscapes and street scenes since then, mostly on location. The beauty of the Southwest Wisconsin landscape captured his interest and drew him to Mineral Point many years ago. Following his career as an art director, Steve now spends the non-winter months scavenging for beautiful painting subjects and finding meaning in offhanded scenes.
