“Twins, Joelle and Katie White are merging their ceramic art into one partnership business. Introducing the Globe Clay Center located at Howdle Studio in Mineral Point, WI! The sisters create and display beautifully crafted pottery, sculpture, and jewelry in the late Bruce Howdle’s studio and gallery. Howdle was a beloved mentor to many, and an advocate for the arts, as well as the historic preservation of Mineral Point. The building which houses this new business was originally constructed in 1876 as The Globe Hotel. Howdle bought the crumbling structure in 1983 and completely rejuvenated it to its historic originality. Katie and Joelle were Bruce’s studio assistants before he passed away in August of 2018. The pair wish to honor their mentor and the predecessors of the building by creating this clay center where they can share their art with the community.”
